Template, not built for a specific business

Three request types, three personal inboxes, one shared queue instead

Many businesses take rental requests, repair or service requests, and parts orders all through the same channel: a phone call, or whichever named person's inbox happens to get the email. There is no shared list, and the customer has no way to check status without calling back. This page shows one small, working tool that closes that gap: every request of any type gets a reference number the moment it comes in, the customer can look up its status themselves, and the team sees one shared queue across all three request types instead of three separate inboxes, with anything sitting too long flagged automatically.

Everything below is fictional. When this gets built for a real business, the office view reads from whatever already tracks requests, and the routing (who is assigned what) matches how the business actually staffs each request type.

Log a new request

A real deployment shows this same queue to everyone who needs it, on one shared screen, instead of splitting requests across separate personal inboxes.

Shared request queue, flagged first

Check the status of a request

Try REQ-1001 through REQ-1006 from the team view's sample queue, with the matching sample last name.

How this gets built for real

The reference number is generated the moment a request comes in. A real build hands it to the customer immediately by phone, text or email, whichever the business already uses.
The stage set is different per request type here, and that is configurable. A rental, a repair, and a parts order do not move through the same steps, and a real build matches each type's actual workflow.
The status ping here is a log entry, not a real send. A real build wires this to the business's existing phone, text or email system so the update actually goes out.
