Client example, built from public information

One shared queue for parts orders, repairs, and backorders, instead of unanswered emails

SLE Equipment, a family-owned outdoor power equipment dealer and repair shop in Antioch, Tennessee, authorized for Husqvarna, Toro, Encore, Ferris, Snapper Pro, Ariens, and Echo, has operated for approximately 32 years. Its own BBB complaint history shows a repeated pattern: customers have no way to check the live status of a parts order, an in-shop repair, or a backordered item, so they resort to repeated unanswered emails and calls, and the business's own written BBB responses repeatedly admit the same gap in their own words. This example shows a small, working alternative: every parts order, repair, and backordered item gets a reference number the moment it comes in, the customer can check its status themselves, and the shop sees one shared queue across all three request types instead of relying on memory and inbound calls.

Everything below is fictional sample data. The business name, location (Antioch, TN), family ownership, ~32 years in business, and authorized brands (Husqvarna, Toro, Encore, Ferris, Snapper Pro, Ariens, Echo) reflect what SLE Equipment publishes about itself at sleequipment.com and its own BBB profile. The customers, requests, dates, and statuses below are all invented for this demo and not real SLE Equipment records.

days with no stage change

Log a new request

Today this volume comes in by phone and email with no shared list, which is what the business's own BBB responses repeatedly describe as a lack of communication and follow-up. A real deployment shows this same queue to whoever is covering the parts counter or service desk that day.

How this gets built for real

The reference number is generated the moment a request comes in. A real build hands it to the customer immediately by phone, text, or email, closing the gap named in at least five separate BBB responses as the cause of these complaints.
The stage set differs by request type here, and that stays configurable. A parts order, an in-shop repair, and a backordered item do not move through the same steps, and a real build matches how SLE's parts counter and service bay actually work each one.
The status update here is a log entry, not a real send. A real build wires this to phone, text, or email so the customer's update actually goes out, instead of the customer finding out only by calling or emailing in and waiting.
