Catch the job that's quietly gone off track, before a customer has to complain to get it fixed
Many repair and field-service businesses have no single place that flags a job stuck on repeat visits without the right parts on order, a "no charge until it's fixed" promise about to be invoiced anyway, or a refund that was promised and never followed up on. Each of those is invisible to office staff individually until a customer escalates. This page uses a fictional business to show what a lightweight rule-based alert layer over that looks like, not a redesign of the underlying intake or billing system.
Everything below is fictional. When this gets built for a real business, it plugs into wherever job, parts, and billing data already lives, an intake sheet, a scheduling tool, a billing system, and adds the missing alert layer on top rather than replacing any of it.

How this gets built for real
The thresholds here are placeholders. "Stalled" (3 visits or 21 days without the right parts confirmed on order) and "refund overdue" (14 days) are round numbers for this demo. A real build uses whatever commitment the business actually makes, spoken or written.
This is an alert layer, not a new system of record. It sits alongside whatever already tracks jobs, parts orders, and invoices, it doesn't replace intake, dispatch, parts ordering, or billing software.
The invoice block is a soft gate. It stops one specific mistake, billing a job that was promised as no-charge before the repair is actually done, it isn't a full billing workflow.
