The cancellation alert that would have stopped a customer waiting on a no-show technician

An Angi reviewer wrote: "I only found out about the cancellation when I called because no one showed up. Had I not called they would not have come, even though there was a scheduled appointment." This page shows the specific piece that closes that gap: the moment a booking is cancelled or its schedule changes, the customer gets a text automatically, without having to call and find out the hard way.

What's real: All Swept Up Chimney Services, LLC is a family-owned (Derrick and Misty Pafford) chimney sweep, inspection, repair, and installation company based in Springville, serving Bloomington, Terre Haute, and Carmel, Indiana. BBB-accredited since 2016 with an A+ rating, in business since 2009. The Angi review quoted above is a real, independently-verified review of this business. A second review on the company's own reviews page (Courtney H.) reads: "They do good work however they struggle with being responsive to scheduling and returning calls." The company already has a real Jobber-hosted booking site (allsweptupchimneyservicesllc.jobbersites.com, "Powered by Jobber," with a working "Schedule an Appointment" button), but its main marketing site, the one linked from Google and BBB, does not link to it. That site's own "Request Service" button instead routes to a plain contact form that goes to a free Yahoo Mail inbox, not the Jobber system that could send an automatic confirmation or reschedule text.

What's illustrative: the jobs, customers, and technician name below are a fictional sample, not real All Swept Up Chimney customers or open tickets. Nothing here sends a real text or email, this shows exactly what a customer would receive at each step. A real build connects to the Jobber account they already pay for (via its API or webhooks) and sends through an actual SMS/email service, it does not require switching off Jobber or adopting new scheduling software.

New service request: replaces the plain contact form

The current "Request Service" button on the main site goes to a name/phone/email/message form with no confirmation. This version captures the same information but feeds straight into the office view above instead of an inbox someone has to check.

What I'd flag before this goes further

Nothing here sends a real text or email. This demo shows exactly what a customer would receive at each step. A real version needs an actual SMS/email service (for example Twilio or SendGrid) connected to the Jobber account they already have, either through Jobber's API or a webhook triggered when a job's status changes.
The four stages shown (booked, confirmed, technician en route, complete) are a typical sweep/inspection flow, not copied from All Swept Up's internal Jobber setup. A gas log service call, a new installation, or an animal removal job may move through this differently, worth a short conversation before this gets built for real.
Cancellation notice is a separate, dedicated action from rescheduling, on purpose. The Angi complaint was specifically about a cancellation nobody communicated, not a reschedule. This demo keeps the two distinct: a reschedule tells the customer a new window, a cancellation tells them the visit isn't happening and gives a reason, so nobody is left waiting on a technician who was never coming.
The service-request form only captures a request, it doesn't book a specific time slot. Keeping it to "what you need and how to reach you" mirrors what the existing contact form already collects, just routed somewhere that triggers a confirmation instead of sitting in an inbox.
The BBB rating, Jobber site, and both reviews quoted are pulled from public listings today; they can shift. Worth confirming against Jobber and the live site before anything here gets built for real.
