Working example, built for Dale Electric Supply

The cross-referencing your team already does by phone, done in seconds, never guessed

Your own site already says it: "We can cross-reference SKUs, confirm availability, and help source hard-to-find electrical supplies." That's someone on your team matching an outside part reference to your catalog by hand, one call at a time. Below is a slice of your real, public product search, the same one live at dale-electric.com, reading a purchase order the way one actually shows up: a customer's own part numbers, a typo, a vague trade description, two items that are easy to mix up. Paste an order in and watch the first pass happen, then see exactly what it would and would not hand off to a person.

What's real: every item this page can match against, its SKU, manufacturer, description, and price, was pulled directly from dale-electric.com's public product search and re-checked against the live site before publishing. It's a hand-picked slice across your receptacles, conduit, wire nuts, breakers, junction boxes, cable ties, exit signs, load centers, and disconnects, 41 SKUs, not your full live catalog of roughly 20,000 in-stock items, and not a live feed into your system, a snapshot taken for this demo.

What's illustrative: the purchase order below is a composite example I wrote, not a real customer's order. "Northway Facilities Group" is not an actual Dale Electric account. It's built to show the patterns that actually show up in this kind of order: a buyer's own part numbers instead of yours, a typo'd SKU, a vague trade description with no code at all, two catalog items that look interchangeable until you check the price, and one item you don't carry at all.

What I'd flag before this goes anywhere near a real order

This never places or finalizes an order. Every line below either gets an explicit yes from a person, or gets kicked to "needs a look." Nothing here writes to your order system, touches real stock, or emails anyone.
It only knows this 41-item slice. Anything from the rest of your catalog comes back as "not found" here, not because you don't carry it, just because this demo wasn't given the rest of it. A real build reads whatever catalog export or data feed you already keep current, so it knows everything you actually stock.
Where your team actually keys orders in is the open question. Whether that's an ERP, a phone order pad, EDI, or something else changes how this plugs in. Worth a short conversation before anything gets built for real, this is a demo of the matching step, not a finished integration.
Pricing shown is what your site displayed when we checked, not a live quote. A few items on your own site don't show a price without adding to cart, that shows up below as "matched, call to confirm price," never a guessed number.
