Built for Security Fence Company, Braselton, GA

A locked quote before the crew breaks ground, and an on-record yes before a design change reaches the invoice

Security Fence's own site (securityfencega.com) runs a Jobber-powered client portal plus a basic quote-request contact form, no scope-lock step before a job starts. That gap shows up directly in the business's own BBB record: one customer wrote "Contract stated a 5' fence would be installed with 1' buried and finished fence will be installed as a 4' finished fence with gates and finishes," disputing an on-site trenching change the crew leader added; a second customer, after a fence "curved upwards going left to right," said design changes for HOA drainage "weren't approved." Separately, a Birdeye reviewer wrote the company "sold us damaged, rusted, banged up gates" and refused to exchange them. This example shows a small, working fix: a scope-capturing intake that turns fence height, buried depth, gate hardware, and finish into a locked, itemized quote, plus an on-site change-order step so any deeper trenching or design adjustment becomes a timestamped, itemized ask with a reason, held for the customer's approval before it can ever land on the final invoice.

Illustrative example. The rate table, customer names, and job records below are fictional and clearly labeled as such. The quoted phrases in the job records below are drawn directly from Security Fence Company's own published BBB and Birdeye record, not invented; every dollar figure is a sample rate for demonstration.

How this maps to the real gap

The intake form is the actual fix for the actual gap. Security Fence's live quote-request form and Jobber client portal show no fence height, buried depth, or gate hardware fields before a job is booked; this replaces that with the actual inputs a real fence quote depends on, locked before the crew shows up.
Sample Job A reproduces the 5'/4'/1'-buried trenching complaint. Locked at a standard 12 inch buried depth, then invoiced with a deeper 24 inch trenching fee added directly with no change order ever sent, the guard flags that gap the moment the invoice is entered, instead of after the customer disputes what was actually authorized.
Sample Job B reproduces the HOA drainage design-change complaint, fixed. Instead of a rear-slope drainage adjustment reaching the customer for the first time as a "design change" on the bill, it sits here as a timestamped, itemized change-order request with a stated reason, waiting on the customer's own recorded approval before it can be billed at all.
The materials-condition checkbox addresses the Birdeye damaged-gates complaint. A Birdeye reviewer wrote the company "sold us damaged, rusted, banged up gates" with no pre-installation check. This intake step requires gate/hardware condition to be confirmed against a photo before delivery, so a damaged gate gets caught and swapped before installation day, not after the customer is stuck with it.
