Working example, built around Stone Interiors South Carolina's own published facts

A granite countertop job shouldn't surface a fee or a schedule change only on the final invoice

Stone Interiors East, LLC calls itself South Carolina's largest granite fabricator on its own site, and its BBB profile shows 25 years of continuous A+ accreditation plus a 58-survey, 4.6-out-of-5 GuildQuality record on completed jobs. But the same BBB profile lists 7 complaints in the current three-year window, and Yelp and Angi reviews surfaced independently describe the same pattern in different customers' own words: a sink cutout measured before the actual sink was on hand, an "oversized fee" determination the customer only learns about after the fact, a timeline quietly slipping a month past what was promised, and emails going unanswered while a fee dispute is unresolved. The common thread across the complaint record is not the stonework itself, it is that the customer had no way to see what was happening with their own job until something had already gone wrong. Below is a working tool sized to close exactly that gap: every job gets a visible, timestamped status from measurement through install, and any deviation from the original quote, an oversized-item fee, a schedule change, a mid-job scope change, requires an explicit customer-visible flag and a typed, timestamped confirmation before the job moves to its next stage.

Everything below is fictional. Customer names, job details, dollar amounts and dates on this page are sample data, illustrative only, not Stone Interiors' real customer or job records. One sample job below is deliberately shaped to mirror the "oversized fee" pattern described across the BBB complaint record and independently on Yelp/Angi, to make the exception gate concrete, not because it reflects a real Stone Interiors customer.

How this gets built for real

The job number is whatever Stone Interiors already uses. A real build reads from the existing quote or work-order number instead of inventing a new one for the customer to remember.
The notification pings here are log entries, not real sends. A real build wires the stage and exception pings to the same per-location "virtual concierge" inbox (VirtualConciergeSC@stoneinteriors.com) Stone Interiors already publishes, so an update reaches the customer the moment office staff log it.
"Confirmed" here is a typed name and a timestamp. A real build can add an actual e-signature provider for a stronger record on an oversized-fee determination or a scope change; this demo shows the workflow, not a specific vendor.
This does not fix a measurement or install error by itself. It only makes an oversized-fee determination, a schedule change, or a mid-job scope change visible to the customer and the whole team the moment it happens, instead of surfacing only on the final invoice or during an in-person dispute.
