Built for M50 Skip Hire & Recycling Ltd, Santry, Dublin
A locked collection window, and a charge nobody sees until you agree to it
M50's own site markets "an insured & reliable service" and says its "prompt service is designed to keep your project on time & on-budget." Its Trustpilot record (2.6/5, 20 reviews) tells a different story for collection specifically: 14 of 20 reviews describe a skip left blocking a driveway or parking space for 11 to nearly 30 days after being told collection was imminent, with repeat callers told "it's not allocated" and no way to check status themselves. A separate boards.ie post describes a customer billed an unadvised extra €40 "overloaded skip" charge after collection, sprung on them after the fact rather than disclosed up front. This example shows a small, working fix: every order gets a reference number and a locked collection window the moment it's booked, a dispatch queue flags any order approaching or past that window automatically, sorted most-overdue-first, a no-login customer lookup shows the same status without a phone call, and any charge beyond the original quote, like that €40 fee, is itemized and held until the customer explicitly acknowledges it, before it is ever billed.
Illustrative example. The customer names, orders, and dates below are fictional. The €40 "overloaded skip" charge pattern is drawn directly from an independently-sourced boards.ie post describing M50, not invented; the "it's not allocated" callback pattern and the 11-to-nearly-30-day collection delays reflect the shape of M50's own Trustpilot review history, not any one named reviewer's exact order. Skip pricing is a placeholder sample rate (M50's own pricing loads through a client-side widget not available to this build); €194 is a directly comparable Dublin competitor's (Kollect.ie) published all-in household skip price, shown here only as a reasoned proxy for the market, not M50's confirmed rate.
Book a new order
This same locked window would go to the customer by text or email the moment they book, not only appear on this internal screen.

Check your order
Try M50-1001, M50-1002, M50-1003, M50-1004 or M50-1005 from the dispatch queue's sample orders. No login needed, matching how M50's site currently offers no order-status or portal feature at all.
How this maps to the real gap
M50-1001 and M50-1002 reproduce the Trustpilot pattern. Both are shown overdue and sorted to the top of the queue, exactly the "it's not allocated" gap that repeat callers describe, made visible before a fifth call instead of after it.
M50-1003 reproduces the boards.ie pattern. A €40 "overloaded skip" charge sits itemized and held, not yet billed, until the customer checks the box and types their name on their own status page.
The reference number would be whatever M50 already hands out at booking. No new booking system, this sits on top of however orders are taken today.
